Taking into consideration the recent advice and updates regarding the spread of COVID-19 throughout the UK and Globally, both from the Baptist Union of Scotland and the Government, we have as a leadership made a decision to suspend all gatherings at Kings Park Baptist Church, including our Sunday services for the foreseeable future.
What can we do in the meantime?
In the midst of the adversity created by this situation we have a very real opportunity to follow the example of the Parable of the Samaritan and reflect on what it means for each of us to ‘love our neighbours as ourselves.’ (Luke 10 v 25-37) Please remember those who are isolated and consider how you might be able to look out for them through these challenging times.
This is a time for wisdom as well as faith and if you develop symptoms such as a fever, new continuous cough, breathlessness or become concerned about your exposure to the virus, please follow the guidance given and isolate yourself and seek medical advice.
Also please join us, wherever you are and whenever you are able, in praying for the people of this world, those who are in government and for our church family, as we place our trust and hope for better days in the future through the goodness and intervention of God who hears our prayers and is able to do more than we can possibly ask or imagine.
