Our aim is to show our community the living Jesus in words and deeds
Our morning service starts at 10:30. Come dressed to be comfortable - you will meet people dressed in everything from shirt and tie to T-shirt and jeans. We have a time of worship for around 25 minutes. Our worship contains a mixture of current Christian songs and hymns which have stood the test of time. We have signers for the deaf who translate what is happening into British Sign Language throughout the service.
As we believe that worship is something to take part in, not just something to watch, we regularly make time in worship for people to share in prayer. Shared prayer encourages us when we hear what others are giving thanks for. It also helps to support one another when we know how to pray for what is happening in one another's lives.
There is a collection taken during the service. The collection is an opportunity for those who regularly attend the church to support not only the work of Kings Park Baptist Church but also the work of other churches and Christians across Scotland and world-wide. There is no expectation for guests to give to this collection.
After the worship time we have a message which lasts about 30 minutes. Teaching at Kings Park aims to look at how the Bible is relevant to our lives today and how we can live as Christians in the modern world. At this point the children can go into the back hall for games, crafts etc. and crèche although, if preferred, they can stay in the main hall.
On most Sundays we have communion. For more information click here.
After the service we get together in the back hall for tea and coffee (and sometimes cake!!) - it's a chance to chat and catch up with one another.
